Yeah, I agree. When doing this kind of art I’m really only interested in adding skin-tight spandex to the model. When I have to add extras like belts, capes etc. I get lazy and do a rush job.
I believe that is a wonderful interest, and perhaps a best interest. But, yeah, no excuses to do a lazy job. 😛
My personal advice as a fellow artist: if you find yourself rushing it over, stop, do something else, and come back to it when you’re fresh.

The texture on the belt stands out a bit too much, I believe. And it doesn’t really conform to the lighting in the overall scene.
